Join us in celebrating the re-opening of the newly renovated Day Use Area on Sunday, June 28, from 1-4 PM.  The new facilities all comply with the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) continuing the tradition of Hendy Woods being one of the most ADA compliant parks in Mendocino County.  You will find new bathrooms, shade structures and BBQs, interpretive panels, and pathways.  

Hendy Woods Community will provide appetizers and dessert and we invite you to bring your own picnic. There will be prizes and giveaways, speakers and sing-alongs as well as a docent-led walk in Big Hendy Grove.  

Renovations were funded by Hendy Woods Community, Save the Redwoods League, and California Department of Parks and Recreation.

As construction has just been completed, expect a bit of dust where the grass has not had time to grow back.
